PM Modi urges thorough investigation into parliament security breach

PM Narendra Modi expressed grave concern over the recent security breach in the Lok Sabha, calling it "very serious" and emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation. PM Modi stated that the incident should not be downplayed, and the focus should be on determining the individuals responsible and understanding their motives.

The breach, where two intruders jumped from desk to desk and deployed colored smoke in the Lok Sabha chamber, led to six arrests, with the individuals citing concerns about Manipur violence, unemployment, and farmers' problems as their motives.

The Opposition has criticized the government for the significant security lapse and demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla clarified that the security within the Lok Sabha falls under the secretariat's purview and emphasized that the government would not intervene.

Meanwhile, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi voiced their concerns, with Kharge demanding a statement from the Home Minister inside Parliament. In response, Rahul Gandhi linked the breach to unemployment caused by the Modi government's policies. The BJP countered, asserting that Rahul Gandhi "always talks trash" and redirecting attention to the affiliations of those involved with Congress, TMC, and CPI(M) as per BJP IT in-charge Amit Malviya.
